The Alpha Project is a 16 week training program taking you from beginner to MMA fighter with the option to fight at the end in front of a packed crowd at a MMA Event.

The Alpha Project is a unique 16-week training regimen designed to transform complete beginners into MMA fighters, both physically and mentally. The Alpha Project is geared toward individuals of any age or fitness level who are looking for a significant physical and personal challenge. With 6 gyms involved, this program has become a the fastest growing training program in Ireland, offering participants an intense mix of cardio, strength, and martial arts training that culminates in a real MMA fight in an octagon or cage at the end of the course.

Participants train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, and boxing, along with strength and conditioning exercises. Each week, they engage in training sessions, which build gradually in intensity as they progress. The program’s design ensures a comprehensive fitness improvement, helping participants develop physical skills, endurance, and confidence over time. Not only is The Alpha Project a physical journey, but it also promotes mental resilience by pushing individuals to face discomfort, exhaustion, and mental blocks, often leading to life-changing transformations.

The program culminates in a fight night where participants face each other in the cage, an event designed to symbolize the peak of their training journey. Coaches emphasize that this final fight is more about celebrating progress than winning or losing. Many gyms that host the Alpha Project program, like Team Ryano Omagh in Northern Ireland, report that participants gain valuable life skills, with some even continuing with martial arts training afterward due to the supportive community and intense self-growth they experienced. Start of The Alpha Project

This is when the fun starts. You start your 16 week training program at your chosen gym and start getting ready for fight day pretty much from day one.

Matching Day

We bring all the athletes together and have a training and sparring day and match everyone best we can to make every fight a 50/50 fight.

3rd May 2025


The Alpha Project Finale

This is what everyone looks forward too. Making that walk in front of all your family and friends. This will be one of the most exciting experiences of your life.

The Program

The Alpha Project is a 16 week MMA training program in which beginners become winners, when they get the opportunity to fight in an MMA event in front of 1000+ fans.

The Gyms

Currently we have 6 MMA gyms involved which are located all over Ireland. We have: Team Ryano Omagh, Team Ryano HQ, Team Evolve, Team Ryano Limavady, Erne Wrestling and Team Ryano Causeway.

The Final Event

The final event of the year will take place in Omagh at Virtus 4, one of Ireland’s premier MMA showcases. Virtus has earned a reputation as a top-tier platform, attracting fighters from across Ireland to compete at its prestigious events.
